The Trio Fund was established in 2010 by Amit Cohen and is one of the first hedge funds in Israel. The fund is focused on Israeli and Israel-related equities.

Today, Trio Fund operates in partnership with Meitav Alternative, the alternative investments arm of Meitav Investment House, as part of an ongoing effort to provide high-quality investment solutions to qualified private and institutional investors.

The fund specializes in equities with an Israeli focus. The fund manager employs a fundamental investment approach, aiming to purchase stocks expected to generate excess returns while selling stocks anticipated to underperform. Within this framework, the fund operates under a long/short strategy. Investment selection is based on in-depth research that includes an analysis of both quantitative and qualitative factors, such as the company’s business environment, absolute and relative valuation, management quality, and exogenous factors that may impact performance.
